MANUELO MELLOW FELLOW

If I had to describe Manuelo’s energy, his would be like vanilla or maybe more like honey. So smooth,silky and sweet. Put this little guy in the mix and everyone just blends better. He brought new life and joy to all of us at Moonhaven but especially to me.
I had been having a difficult time after too many recent animal losses and I had pretty well shut my heart down.
Odd to say that because on the day of his arrival, my heart literally hurt from being too open while Priestessing the spirit release of a man in my community who had committed suicide with a coke OD.
Tara was helping me process and release this pain and suggested that it was perhaps a knock on the door to my hear chakra.
Not a moment later a knock came at the French doors that opened into the back office.. I swear the Goddess does indeed play hard ball with me!
One of my neighbors appeared in the doorway holding the most precious little Russian Blue kitten. She had found him in the bathroom at the park at Lake Santa Fe and could not keep him because of her allergies.
I must have really been closed down because at first , I said no, no more kittens for me right now. Tara who usually took the opposite stance in true Gemini style suggested wisely that I just hold him and see how he felt. Maybe he would just blend in with the others.
The witch! She knew exactly what to say and knew that I just needed to hold his soft silky body to my breast and gaze into those emerald eyes and my resistance would be gone. (read on…)

Happy, Light Being in a Fur Coat

My little pup Happy is growing into a beautiful dog. Don’t get me wrong, she is still totally a puppy at 11 months old, however, I am starting to see some of her training really “stick”.
Her trainer and major fan, Melanie,has been a wonderful influence teaching her and helping me to train her through positive reinforcement.Melanie used to say that Happy had an evil twin called Snappy that came out on occasion and I was well aware of this side of her. For that reason, I felt that a firm but gentle trainer would be the best thing for both of us as well as for the sanity of the cats who she adores.

Being an astrologer, I could see the wild side of my angel in her chart and those aspects would create more problems if handled with domination. Truly whenever I tried that misguided path with her, it brought out more aggressive traits
Now simply pausing, when possible,to give her a few minutes of good attention when she is just starting to act out changes her back to her wonderful mellow self. Often when I am writing on the computer as I am now for an extended period, she would fuss and nip and now that I am stopping to hug her when she does it she comes gently and waits for her hug. One of my sweetest and quirkiest cats is Tucky. She arrived at Moonhaven by virtue of being dumped in the front yard and wisely crawled in and under a bush. I was waiting for a very late friend that morning as we were going to go to a Rock and Gem show.
My aggravation was building as I waited for her so I decided to raise up my vibration and attitude by watering the plants in the front yard. As I stood there, I could hear the faint mewing from under a bush in the distance. My Bear dog went running in the direction of the sounds. I had feared that one of my cats had been hit on the road but when we got to the source of the mewing, there sat the tiniest little gray tabby kitten. (read on…)

HAPPY THE HELLION THE FIRST STORY
The only reason that I can even begin to tell you about my new little love Happy,a Flat-Coat Retriever/Golden Retriever mix is because I so wore her out yesterday and today, that she has slept most of the evening which has allowed me the uninterupted space to begin her story.
I had put my last dog Apple down in February and had been dogless these months waiting for my dog to appear and not really in any big rush. I had hoped that my dog Bear aka Spirit was ready to reincarnate with me again. The message I had gotten from another Shaman was that he was in a more angelic form and was with me in that dimension. SPIRIT’S STORY SPIRIT SPIR BEAR, BEAR and Tonka Too

  I have been waiting for quite some time to tell the story of my beloved dog Spirit. Interesting too that at this time I am dogless for the first time since I found Luna in 1973.  Actually there was a span of 2 years after Luna passed that I was dogless but for most of my adult life, I have been graced with wonderful canine company. Tonight is also the eve of Spirit/Bear’s passing on Mother’s Day some 7 years ago.
I am now feeling ready for another dog in my life and am hoping that Spirit/Bear will feel that it is a good time to return to me on this side of the veil. (read on…)

ANIMAL FAMILIES OF MOONHAVEN

Its so wonderful to see how animals in a family actually behave like family. My crew shows me their devotion to each other time and time again.
As I am writing this story,my mare Chinamoon is looking in the window at me working,and my dog Apple is asleep behind me on the floor and my two boy cats Star and Red are fast asleep next to me on chairs,while if I look out the other window on the opposite side, my most witchly black cat Jasmine is asleep on the hot tub cover. Chinamoon’s story living with the mare goddess part I** thought some of you horse lovers would enjoy this excerpt from my book in progress LIFETIME COMPANIONS: LOVE NEVER DIES

My dear friend Tara and I worked on Chinamoon’s auric field as she is in the process of healing from West Nile Virus. China’s aura felt quite strong and vibrated some 4 feet from her body. Last night when I rechecked her flower essences, I had the clearest understanding about her vulnerability to West Nile. I dowsed [a way of divining information] with my faithful pendulum over many boxes of flower essences before discovering that China in fact needed the remedy, Grief and Loss in her special mix for her grid. [a grid is a miniature healing temple, a template if you will, of the animal or person, created with stones,symbols,flower essences or whatever healing items you want to include]
China had been suffering much as I had been over the loss of kittens Manuelo and Serena, both of whom are buried near her stall. Each of them in turn used to play in her pasture with her like little gray bolts of light and joy dancing across the sand of her paddock.

LIFETIME COMPANIONS INTRODUCTION

This book has been patiently simmering on the back burner of my psyche for at least 9 years and I can feel it demanding space and time for its birth.
What was once a gentle nudge, has become a tidal wave of energy and emotion desiring expression?
My animal family has both blessed me with the most profound love and inspiration and some of the deepest pain. I cannot begin to imagine what my life would be without the animals.
Some people hear the word “animal” and see them as subhuman, less than, while some religious groups categorize animals as “soulless.” This could not be further from the truth as anyone who has ever loved an animal can tell you!
Animals are enlightened beings, angels in fur- coats.[or winged and scaled] They are truly “Soul-Full.” Like humans, I find that some are more and less evolved spiritually,intellectually,and emotionally and all of them rise to the level that we allow by being open and expecting that level of spirit and wisdom. I have often described myself as a woman who walks inside her Spirituality everyday. It is like my skin and involves and encompasses everything that I do.

I would also say more accurately, that I live the life of a Dianic Priestess. My work is about as traditional as you can get for a Priestess as I use Divination, Vibrational Healing for people and animals,Astrology,Music, Crystal Healing, Ritual and much more witchy things in my practice.

On any given day, I am as likely to read a clients cards, find a missing cat, treat a tiger for Grief and Loss, help a couple heal their relationship through the use of a Composite Astrological Chart, sell some stones, make a Gem Elixir, play a concert for Gay Pride, lecture at the University of Florida on Women’s Spirituality, create and lead a ritual or just love my land and critters and encounter the magic of the wild things, plants and trees that live here with me at Moonhaven.

There are songs with positive messages that we can sing for peace and thoughts that we will need to energize to not contribute to the us and them consciousness that can get stirred up at this time. I have been working on and suggesting wrapping the planet in a luminous pearly crystalline web or dome of light so that some of the fear mongering and saber rattling will find no fertile ground to grow in.

Tuesday’s eclipse could have some globally/environmentally,and politically challenging energies. I am a believer in holding that common thought for peace and healing and the highest good for all so do join in if the spirit moves you and I hope it will. Some of the politriks of the world can make us feel helpless and hopeless so do take a few minutes or more if you like to send up a positive web or dome of light to surround us and heal this planet and all of Her beings.
