It is Nov 5, and we have an inspiring new president.
I FEEL SO WONDERFUL and I just keep tearing up. When I saw that park in Chicago so filled with love and light I remembered the last time I had viewed that space and it was during the Days of Rage from the Democratic Convention, so many years ago. That was a police riot where so many of us were maimed or killed. I wept for all the years that some of us have held this vision of freedom and justice. Images of being tear gassed and followed by the police flooded my thoughts..How many years we have worked to fulfill Martin’s Dream, how many years to honor the dead in Rosewood, the freedom riders Emmett Till Rosa Parks, Harriet Tubman,SojournerTruth and Martin and Malcolm and Marley and Medgar and those that drowned during the Middle Passage and on and on. Raise the Vibe for the Tribe/We Won’t Be Fooled Again
Flash SilvermoonI moved from NYC in ‘75 to be here in Florida in the country near a larger community to prepare for these “Interesting times”, not that I am as prepared as I want to be.
It is so importnat not to fear and panic though the economy is certainly a scarey wild ride and folks are scrambling to find something solid to hold onto as a bunker against diminishing financial security.
I think the gathering of food is a really good investment
within reason and gathering  supplements and the kind of things that we need that will keep is good planning as well. Basically the more self, and community sufficient that we can be will surely help us throough uncertain times. (read on…)

I am most grateful for all of the folks who jumped in and helped the people, animals and land that are in the path of this hurricane with their prayers, spells and good intentions..Sometimes Mama needs to clean house and there is nothing to do but get out of the way and sometimes there can be a gentling or shifting that can have an amazing impact. I do not have the audacity to think that I or we could command Mama but I will always try to ask for Divine intervention and as we all know positive thoughts working in the same direction and intention can be very powerful . WEATHERING THE STORM NAY FAY The Contiuning Saga of the Storm that Wouldn’t Leave
My four legged familiars and I have been sitting on the edge of this Fay storm for days and it has been both challenging, frightening, grounding and heartwarming. So much time to let the inner emotional storms ebb and flow between chores, stabilizing the space, meditating, doing ritual, seeing clients, and basically hunkering down.
As I often do when some big hurricane,fire,drought is afoot, I contacted special spiritual friends to help me protect Moonhaven and generally hold a peaceful safe space for all in the path of the potential disaster. PLUTO IN SAGITTARIUS PASSING IT ON TO CAPRICORN
In trying to explore the last 12 years of Pluto in Sagittarius one cannot miss the fact that our government as well as others have become a theocracy, where one’s God or lack thereof becomes a major point of political power. Beliefs have become paramount with each side claiming to have the last word on what God wants.

HAPPY THE HELLION THE FIRST STORY
The only reason that I can even begin to tell you about my new little love Happy,a Flat-Coat Retriever/Golden Retriever mix is because I so wore her out yesterday and today, that she has slept most of the evening which has allowed me the uninterupted space to begin her story.
I had put my last dog Apple down in February and had been dogless these months waiting for my dog to appear and not really in any big rush. I had hoped that my dog Bear aka Spirit was ready to reincarnate with me again. The message I had gotten from another Shaman was that he was in a more angelic form and was with me in that dimension. Tree Magic at Moonhaven
Here at Moonhaven the trees have surely been teaching me. Some 10 years ago or so while in meditation my guides or perhaps the devas of this place spoke to me of what they wanted me to do for them and they were quite specific. They wanted me to arrange stumps bowls and stones around 4 particular trees. As I began to fulfill my task, I noticed that the 4 trees chosen actually made a cross in my yard. (read on…)

SPIRIT’S STORY SPIRIT SPIR BEAR, BEAR and Tonka Too

  I have been waiting for quite some time to tell the story of my beloved dog Spirit. Interesting too that at this time I am dogless for the first time since I found Luna in 1973.  Actually there was a span of 2 years after Luna passed that I was dogless but for most of my adult life, I have been graced with wonderful canine company. Tonight is also the eve of Spirit/Bear’s passing on Mother’s Day some 7 years ago.
I am now feeling ready for another dog in my life and am hoping that Spirit/Bear will feel that it is a good time to return to me on this side of the veil. (read on…)

SACRED RIVER SACRED SPRING
I have never been to a man made grotto or any of the well known ones however there is a particular spring head in the Itchetuknee River which is a crystal clear turquoise blue spring fed river and this one in particular, known as the Blue Hole, is a grotto for sure. I have had the same feeling diving into other spring heads in the many springs and rivers of this kind in Florida but the Blue Hole to me is like diving into the Yoni of Oshun. (read on…)

Lions and Tigers and Flash Oh My

Its been a long time since I had a day off of leisure without a new crisis rearing its head but this Sunday, I seized the moment to go to one of my favorite places on the planet, EARS Endangered Animal Rescue Sanctuary run by my 2 friends Gail and Jaye www.BigCatSanctuary.org check this place out if you want to see some gorgeous big cats.
I have been going there to treat and love these beautiful, awesome cats and other creatures for about9 years. During this time I havve built some wonderful relationships with many of the animals there. I have bottle fed some of the tigers that are there since they were no bigger than one of my house cats. One never expects to suddenly wind up in a tiger’s cage pulling this awesome animal from the jaws of death but sometimes, the Goddess has other plans for you and you had best be up to the task at hand!
May 16 was just such a day in my life.
The Full Moon in Sagittarius pushed me back to The Endangered Animal Rescue Sanctuary[EARS], to work on healing Duke, one of the biggest and most splendid tigers you will ever see. I had visited him on Saturday when I heard that he was not doing well and joined the “Duke team” of supporters many of whom have alternated sleeping near his cage for many nights as this case has evolved. As a matter of fact, between Jaye,Gail, Cristina,Morgan,Susan,Amy,Kelly, Craig, and me,Duke has not spent a minute without human company in at least two and a half weeks and believe me he is loving it!.
