PLUTO IN SAGITTARIUS PASSING IT ON TO CAPRICORN

PLUTO IN SAGITTARIUS PASSING IT ON TO CAPRICORN
In trying to explore the last 12 years of Pluto in Sagittarius one cannot miss the fact that our government as well as others have become a theocracy, where one’s God or lack thereof becomes a major point of political power. Beliefs have become paramount with each side claiming to have the last word on what God wants.
Jupiter ruled Sagittarius is all about expanding beliefs and I believe that in spite of the bombastic over blown missives of the No-Fundamentalists of every stripe, we have also enjoyed more awareness and sharing of Cultural Diversity.
Interestingly with the coming of Pluto in Capricorn and all the fuss about Immigration, there may well be a block to that type of growth and expansiveness that Pluto in Sag afforded. We will certainly see how that plays out with a new administration and election.
The Religious leaders of traditional/Patriarchal groups have no interest in toning down the extremists no matter what they may say to look good for a minute.
Everybody wants to clean up their image and move to the center except that somebody forgot to tell them that the center took a dive to the right for the last 7 years, hence, there are pundits of every stripe scrambling to find it
With my natal Pluto in Leo in the Third House of my chart, communication ,writing and publishing have all been prominent issues for me during these times with Uranus diving into the mix and zapping my Mercury in the 10th. This set off a chain reaction into my Pluto and Neptune which form a dynamic aspect called a Yod or finger of God[Goddess] with Mercury as the focal planet. Thank the Goddess for my Blog, Flashes of Insight, which could contain and publish the many threads of the tapestry that is woven from the mystical ramblings bubbling up from the cauldron of my psyche.
Funny though my own Spirituality has gotten a name for itself after many many years of actually “being this way” I used to call myself a Dianic Eclectic Witch which is still a big part of the picture.
As I have pondered these definitions this past year because I have needed to define and redefine my path for others mostly, I wound up redefining for me too.
I would say that the best way to describe my Spiritual path is to call it a Rainbow Womanspirit Path which includes Dianic Wicca,Native American Shamanism,Yoruba,FengShui,Tantra and Isis Mysticism, and probably a few more.
Because I am a Pisces, if I put myself in any box and think that it can hold me, I find that I dribble out the side somewhere. Still, naming has power and can be important.
Funny that it took this Pluto transit to figure out what should have been patently obvious.
I spent 25 years creating The Wise Woman’s Tarot which is a Global view of the Goddess among other things.
Womanspirit Rising which I produced and created in 1990 when Pluto was conjoining my MC in my Solar Return that year, was the first Multi-Traditional Goddess Gathering at least in the South if not in the Country and now have produced and Priestessed 5 years of the Wise Woman Festival which also has this Rainbow Flavor to it.
The Multi Traditional Goddess Circle which is always Priestessed by at least one Native American Medicine Woman or Shaman [last year there were 3], a Yoruba Priest and me is the finale each year.
I am realizing that I have been very deliberately opening and blending the threads that make up my Spiritual Journey as well as sharing it with others to ideally include all those following a Goddess-Centered view at the table so to speak.
This does not require anyone to water down or blend their practice either but to enjoy the Gumbo of our Diversity and the flavors each brings.
The Wise Woman team of Priestesses had the pleasure and privilege of doing the Opening ceremony for the Midwives of North America this fall and apparently this opening created the space for Midwives who formerly had no voice,[Native Americans,Traditionals from Central and South America and a Canadian N. A. who spoke for many tribes] to come forth.
My Circles have gone from a medium amount of Ritual to an absolute minimum so as to be more participational, organic and inclusive yet also still creating deep and Sacred Space. Circles have also gotten smaller and sometimes almost solitary.
Plutonic changes percolate and manifest slowly, and this certainly fits with the experience in my Spirituality which has indeed culminated as this transit of Pluto closes.
This understanding is yet another manifestation of Pluto Squaring my Sun and moon in Pisces in the 10th house!
How do I want to represent? What and who do I want to represent and how am I represented to mycommunity? What kind of a reputation have I made for myself and how have others shaped or misshaped that reputation?
Pluto has been doggin’ me in more ways than I can say from losses of all of my best friends [who were also my spiritual family and ex wife and ex lover] to death, having my reputation maligned by the lies ofjealous others, healing work with and for animals, my own animals dying and all of us having near death experiences, physical and emotional trauma.
All of these experiences resulted in the deepening of my own spirituality and self reliance.
Unfortunately some of these experiences devolved into depression and isolation with me burrowing deeper into the safety of my many professions. However this really did and does feel like making lemonade so to speak.
Especially with all this Capricornian energy newly pulsing, why not get to work if you can?
It seems like for most people, life has gotten harder in every way with little time, money and energy left for empowerment and creativity.
I think the trick with this new energy will be to help manifest Heaven on Earth and to make our earthly journey more transformative in positive ways. Clearly change is nonnegotiable so holding a well lit vision that can flex and adapt and then manifest our highest visions will take that Capricornian energy to the highest expression. We have the simple task of saving the planet and for this we will need many hands to make the work as light and enlightened as possible.
Many questions and still more answers as Pluto makes its last gasp through the latest degrees of Sagittarius.
Ironically after Pluto traveled through the Jupiter ruled Sag sign of expansion, it became diminished by label into the status of dwarf planet when Pluto dipped into the Saturn ruled contracting sign of Capricorn.
After Jan 26 2008 when Pluto enters Capricorn for most of the year, its all about economics. Forget what the Fundies want its gonna be about the dollar even more and how to make things work. No doubt some attempts at creating a world government will come out from the shadows where they have been lurking since 1984 at least when the Plutocrats ruled the underground.
In the short time while Pluto was in Capricorn this year, I felt like it was actually effecting how I am in the world, more serious and reclusive and not always the way that I want that to be. On the positive side, feeling my work with others deepening and becoming more transformative as well.
My inner Shaman which was never too inner is being pushed out more and more. I must admit that I am missing the lightness of my Uranian spontaneous self and am hoping for more opportunities to express that part of me but while Pluto sits in exact opposition to that part of my chart I am being asked to balance those entities and it seems like Pluto gets to hold all the cards most of the time. I guess Pluto isn’t much into sharing. Damn that little Imperialistic dwarf planet!
I know Pluto could not give a rat’s ass about who calls it a dwarf because its gonna kick our asses from here to tomorrow either way and demand that we make radical change, radical meaning getting to the root I guess I will be digging my roots for a while and see what they wrap around as we make the final shift into Pluto in Capricorn in November 2008.

  • I completely agree … how nice to see validation! Not sure which house is which with regard to my natal Pluto … 11-1-40, but you’ve hit the naol on the head … as usual! Love your “Flashes of Insight”
