SEPTEMBER ASTROFLASH MONTHLY HOROSCOPE
BY FLASH SILVERMOON CLASS UPDATE!

That slippery little trickster Mercury evaded my penetrating vision as I made my way through the planetary pile up of the Grand Cardinal Cross in last month’s MONTHLY HOROSCOPE, ASTROFLASH . Mercury went retrograde for 3 weeks on Aug 20 until Sept.12 so do mark your calendars and hopefully you will have gotten all your important business tied up before then or wait til after the12th to set things in stone.

So many of us live inside that rat race chasing our tails trying to keep up with a world wildly careening pell mell towards some hope of retirement, to one day taking that time to smell the flowers when the bills are finally paid, when the kids are finally in college, when you finally get your divorce from the one who doesn’t understand you and could care less!
The Cardinal Square energy that I have been referring to these last few months asks us to each step out of our cages, self imposed or otherwise.

With several planets in Virgo,This month and time is for sorting out, and Mercury in Virgo is such a good sorter. Time to really re order your priorities so that your focus is truly on what has meaning for you rather than what you are just doing.

You have no doubt heard the typical mercury retrograde warnings.
Don’t sign anything, buy anything,commit to anything permanent,refrain from large purchase especially electrical and mechanical things. Don’t have sex for the first time in your new relationship when mercury goes retro[ fine chance of that happening ] Double and triple check meetings and messages and be sure to give the benefit of the doubt in controversy as nobody will really know the whole story!

OK, those are some of the DON’TS, NOW HOW ABOUT THE DO’S!!
Do take the time to De clutter your house, mind,closets,garden,and social calendar so that you can make room for the new energy coming in when Mercury goes direct which will occur this time on Sept 12. Take all those half done projects and bring them to completion so that when Mercury goes direct, you will be ready to roll.

Since we do not live in a culture that includes and honors down time, we need to try to integrate that into our lives much more til the12th.
Some of the challenges we face in trying to live lives more connected to natural and astrological cycles is that Patriarchal Gregorian calendars simply have no such orientation. When we want to observe these more inner times and keep up our work schedules, it can be a challenge.

Its not that you can’t forge ahead during the retrograde but it simply is not energy efficient. Why swim upstream when you can go with the flow?

I am taking the time to explain a bit more about the retrograde energy because there are 7, count them, 7 planets including asteroid Chiron moving backwards at this time so it’s not just Mercury creating this need for a pause.
The New Moon in Virgo on the 8th will also underscore a culling and prioritizing so that our goals and path are more streamlined when both Mercury and Pluto go direct on the 12th and 13th respectively. Then, we can fly forward with conviction.

With Uranus backtracking into Pisces, we are being given a little respite from the planetary firestorm of the summer and it is now time to integrate all the major shifts and dynamic changes we have set in motion. The Grand Cross energy is still in play but as the month rolls on the intensity will weaken a bit til the Full Moon in Aries.If you have been dragging your feet, you will find you may feel a little more tossed in the swirling Piscean waters. The message is still, Find the New You Being Reborn as we approach the true Dawning of the Aquarian Age!.

With several planets in Libra , we may also be prone to do some fence sitting but it may also be a time to let romance sizzle a bit as we learn to merge in a more balanced way.Saturn won’t have it any other way whether the relationships are between lovers or countries.

On Sept.23, we will have a most potent Full Moon in Aries. I learned much about this particular Full Moon from the newly departed,wise and witty witch, Marion Weinstein who referred to the Aries Full Moon as the Blood Moon because in ancient it was a time of animal sacrifices. She also suggested that this was such a dangerous time because we are in the death throes of the Patriarchy. She suggested, and I heartily agree that it is best to not to go to places where one is likely to encounter a dangerous element on this night.

The good news for this time is that Saturn is moving further from the square to Pluto and the whole Cardinal Square thing. The bad news is I can see the possibility of a really bad storm on this day with the Full Moon conjoining both Jupiter and Uranus making the tides run exceptionally high and with Neptune and Chiron back being Siamese twins again, we could have both wild winds and water. I hope that I am totally wrong too. So do be prepared.Either way, this moon could bring some most intense global events with it.

Times are changing and there is no well defined generic road map,however, by becoming more acquainted with your particular chart and the effects of the transits, you have an incredible guide which will offer you dates and times where you are more likely to succeed or have difficulties.

ASTRROFLASH FLICKER!! OOPS MERCURY RETROGRADE AUG 20!!

That slippery little trickster Mercury evaded my penetrating vision as I made my way through the planetary pile up of the Grand Cardinal Cross in my ASTROFLASH this month. Mercury indeed will be going retrograde for 3 weeks on Aug 20 until Sept.13 so do mark your calendars and try to get all your important business tied up before then or wait til after the 13th to set things in stone.

As always, I like to give my readers a little heads up to prepare for these challenging times that occur for 3 weeks 3 x a year. These are not horrible times although some may beg to differ during some of the passages.
When a planet “appears to go retrograde”, its energy is turned inward so it tends to slow everything down ascribed to the particular planet. The energy has to go in before it comes out. This can be fine if you allow yourself to slow down with it and also take the time to be more internal.

The problem is not so much Mercury retrograde, but a Patriarchal world Yang Bang Paradigm that only values forward motion and doesn’t place value in the much needed time for reflection and inner work.This of course is a more feminine energy and typically seen as less important.

One may image the White Rabbit racing through Wonderland flailing his arms crying “I’m late, I’m late”, with the threats of the Red Queen ringing in his floppy ears,”Off with his Head!” How many of you have an internal or external Red Queen driving your ride?

AUGUST ASTROFLASH BY FLASH SILVERM00N

So glad to have better news to report this month. Hopefully by the time you read this, the hole will still be plugged! Of course this is just the beginning of our nation’s largest cleanup efforts ever! We also may need to be much more aware of what is in our air since the dispersants left much toxicity and there has been virtual silence about many things involving our safety and health. There is no way to not notice that life as we have known it is really changing tremendously on so many levels.

There is an incredible configuration called the Cardinal T Square which has been coming together since May through several important planetary shifts and transits. This is at the root of these profound life changes but is by no means the cause of them.

Many of us have gotten into our own regular grooves and ruts and badly need to change the channel. These transits merely give one the opportunity to have a freer and more meaningful life.

In my own practice, I have never had so many clients who are questioning the very fabric of their lives and standing on the precipice where only a leap of faith will do! You are not alone if you are feeling this way and in fact if you are not, you may well be only half awake. Granted not everyone is being equally affected by these tumultuous times and if you are or have personal planets in Arie, Libra, Capricorn or Cancer especially in the earlier degrees,these words should ring particularly true.
As the month opens, Jupiter and Uranus oppose Mars and Saturn and the whole deal is being squared by Pluto. OK so you don’t speak Astrologese, not a problem.

When you think of planets opposing, you will feel a pull or a seesaw effect while the 90 degree angle called a square often creates a colliding effect between the planets involved. So… in this Cardinal T Square, we have 5 intensely energetic planets pulling and colliding with each other, each one of course needing to be heard, kind of like a dysfunctional family Thanksgiving dinner.
If you are an astrologer, experiment with giving a voice to each of the planets at the table and you will gain a deeper understanding of what is up with the heavens these days.

Saturn wants everything to stay the same, while Uranus would like nothing better than to push all of Saturn’s stuffy old buttons and turn all structure on its head one day and sideways the next all in the name of freedom and with the most high minded intentions.
Jupiter wants it all done on a grander scale and will inflate all it touches including the egos of the higher ups who are pulled to the left or the right.Spiritual folk from around the globe will feel called to make a collective healing uplifting circle to encompass the planet. Because of Jupiter’s proximity to Uranus it will create many spontaneous events designed to promote change as well as planetary elevation.

Pluto which is the focal point, operates like the kingpin here and thinks that all this pushing and shoving is all well and good but knows that nothing will get any better unless a totally radical approach to doing things takes place. We can have radicals of every stripe feeling this desire as well which will make it quite difficult to move forward in either direction yet there will be much effort to make such shifts. Could get really hard to tell who are the heroes and villains too.

It may feel at times like the bad guys keep getting away with everything but I do believe during Pluto’s transit in Capricorn that we will see the big corporations and CEO’s being exposed and ultimately penalized. If we can get some political leaders that are not beholding to Big Corp, [BIG IF] we may just create a better world. Each of us each day must make choices that will undermine the corporatization of the world so that change indeed will come from the bottom up and the top down.

Mars moves faster than the rest of the gang and can’t understand why everyone is dragging their collective feet. Mars brings its aggressive energy into the picture from July 29 til Aug. 6 so this will actually be the most volatile time this summer and we will surely see this played out on the world stage at all the International hot spots.

The New Moon in Leo on Aug 9 will also see lovely Venus joining the party and no doubt bringing a more peaceful and calming influence.This should also be a very romantic as well so if you don’t have a partner and want one this would be a great time to be out and about to see and be seen. The Lions an Libras will be on the prowl for sure with Aries not far behind.
Uranus slides back into Pisces for awhile on Aug 14 and that should cool things off some but could make the Pisces Full Moon more turbulent and unpredictable.

On Aug 21 Saturn will complete the 3rd of three squares to Pluto at 3 degrees Capricorn. This can be a very challenging time for all of us economically as it will also effect the chart of our country. The hard aspect between these 2 luminaries often brings a time of struggle where survival issues are concerned so we will need to keep our collective ears to the ground to intuit just how to roll with these changes.

A few days later,on Aug. 24,we will have a Full Moon in Pisces. Sometimes that moon will bring some big watery weather so we may need to batten down the hatches

If you are feeling outer and or inner pressure to make big life changes at this time, it is best to begin immediately getting your ducks in a row so that you can take flight and opportunity when it presents itself. That way, you will be prepared and not feel like the rug has been pulled out from under you as well as being able to seize the moment when that brass ring comes around and calls your name.

If you make friends with change and stay attuned to your highest purpose and deepest desires, this can not only be a rewarding time but a transformative one as well. (read on…)

Astrology, Being an Amazon and Women’s Music

In this time of major transits to my Astrological chart from the planetary shifts and specifically from the planet Uranus, my intuition speaks loud and fortunately I tend to listen. Case in point, this morning.
For some reason ,I was compelled to check the morning programming on the black TV stations. I enjoy a lot of the shows and prefer some of them to the more Caucasian offerings.

There has always been a part of me that really connects and identifies with their pride and their culture. I know this feeling is past life stuff as well as my identification with being the “outsider”, very Uranian.
Given that I have that quirky planet sitting right on my Rising sign, the place of the persona, it is little wonder that I have that experience of often being the “outsider” or at the very least fringey! (read on…)

ASTROFLASH FLICKER!!!
I do believe that there will be some positive resolution of the Gulf Disaster between July 20-24. Asteroid Chiron went into water sign Pisces when the bp oil spill began on Apr. 20. Chiron will leave Pisces and retrograde back into airy Aquarius on July 20 for a while so I feel that we may have a window of opportunity for the HEALING. We may also have more AIR PROBLEMS then as well.
Saturn will enter Libra the next day which should bring balance or at least a legal crackdown on these War Criminals. This could be the instant BP Karma needed to right this atrocity. Those in power will feel more attuned to doing the right thing for the right reasons too. By the 24th when Jupiter squares Pluto we may see some huge show of bravado politically and or globally however I do feel like we may justa reprieve!
Very important to see this as a real outcome Sunday with the New Moon /Total Lunar Eclipse in watery Cancer. This may be the time we are all praying for.and then the bigger job begins to heal what has been damaged and kick the oil addiction once and for all.

JULY ASTROFLASH BY FLASH SILVERMOON

Sometimes I wish my predictions were not quite so accurate. When I suggested in April’s Astroflash, that the entrance of asteroid Chiron into the sign of Pisces would bring all manner of water issues to the fore, that the use and abuse of our seas and rivers could become a major deal, I had no idea that the bp oil spill[I don’t want to dignify them with capitol letters] would create a disaster of cataclysmic proportions. I could not have imagined murderous flash floods in several states and yet the gusher in the Gulf occurred on the very day that Chiron went into Pisces!
On Summer Solstice, Chiron, June 21, will be in a Grand Water Trine with the Sun and the Moon and my circle will be harnessing that energy in ritual with many others around the world.

From Woodstock to the Gulf:Dolphins Songs overide bp oil spill

There are all kinds of brilliant efforts being done by common folk, guerilla herbal, and, enzyme healing efforts at the waters edge,healing circles and global prayer initiatives, with foot dragging, red tape,trickery lies and utter laziness by those who should be slaving night and day to make it right. So much for the mainstream, because we all need to be on a new stream to protect the blessed Gulf Stream or before too long there will be no stream left that is not toxic to all life.
Ok I am over my rant! Now for the real efforts.

I keep working with the dolphins through my music and organizing spiritual healing teams. I had a realization the other night after playing some absolutely divine music. Astrologers including myself have likened this time to the energies present in the late 60’s and I was indeed one of the Woodstock generation and actually was there! For 4 days I listened to some of the best music the world has known absorbing some of the highest vibrations of love I have ever experienced.

When I wrote my article about Woodstock last year for the 40 year anniversary[see my BLog Post from last summer] something wonderful happened to me. It was as if something mystical that had been downloaded into my psyche like some magical time capsule at Woodstock to be released at just the right time for me to utilize its energy. (read on…)

Musical Pathways to Healing the Waters and Her Creatures :bp oil spill

Like so many of you, I have been pained and furious about the bp oil spill. I deliberately use the small letters to reflect the way that this catastrophic event is being minimized with real news deliberately hidden. One spills milk or a plate of berries not millions of gallons of oil! Could I rage across this page and vent my spleen hell yeah and there’s a place for that lest anyone at this point be lulled into sweet denial that this horror could not touch them. This is serious, a gusher from a crack in the sea bed literally bleeding the Mother to death and that’s not even covering what may be loose in the air that they will never admit.

Be that as it may, the issue for us all is how to heal the Gulf and all its creatures and restore it to its once pristine nature. Fortunately many spiritual leaders from many nations are heeding the inner call to encourage mass prayers, visualizations, healing groups, sound and musical healings, chanting…all great stuff with the common thread to GATHER THE PEOPLE TO RALLY FOR THE PLANET AND ELEVATE THE VIBRATION TO HEAL HER EMPOWERING EACH PERSON TO DO THEIR PART TO RE WEAVE THIS HEALING WEB OF LIGHT AND HEAL THEMSELVES IN THE PROCESS (read on…)

JUNE ASTROFLASH BY FLASH SILVERMOON

All I can say is, if you think May was wild and unpredictable, wait til you see the June fireworks! I know, that’s supposed to happen on the 4th of July, but we are definitely on the fast track to extreme changes. These will not be clearly visible for the first few days because Mars and Neptune’s opposition will place a layer of fog over everything allowing for a kind of stealth shift and change that creeps up behind the scenes. Could even be some kind of botched attack again.

Perhaps this Neptunaian fog will be part of toxic air pollution, already being felt by the clean up crews, created from the needlessly toxic chemicals that were used to contain the Oil Spill.
These, by the way, were used because they were a product from the BP corporation even after the EPA suggested that they use another less toxic product. FYI.

Big deal was when Uranus entered Aries on May 27. Any time one of the outer planets changes sign, major shifts are afoot. Uranus is the planet of rebellion, genius, freedom, independence, separation, electricity, and unconventional behavior. Put that in the fiery sign Aries which tends to leap and then look, one can only imagine the kind of energies we will experience.

On top of that, expansive Jupiter will join Uranus in Aries at midnight June 6 EST. The reason I give the time is because I have known Uranian transits to be very exact in their manifestation, kind of like lightning. Whatever Uranus is up to, Jupiter will make it larger. I am wondering if something explosive might happen and it could also be something very positive in terms of some global humanitarian effort (read on…)

FULL MOON GLOBAL WAVE RITUAL FOR YEMONJA
The Moonhaven version of the Full Moon Global Wave Ritual to Heal the Waters was sweet short and felt very elevating.To honor Yemoja/Yemaya, I brought us to a huge tub of water filled w/ gardenias right by the incredible Grandmother Tree . I had debated about doing a small fire because after all this was a Sagittarian, [Fire] Full Moon, but decided with the heat, the best would be to simply use the small tea lights that were hung on the tree and another 7of these candles on a small plastic table next to the tree for the Fire element.
My owl wing offered itself to spread the sage smudge over all of us as it seemed to me that we needed her energy to dispel all the secrecy around this catastrophe. We called in the 4 directions and sealed the circle. (read on…)

MAY ASTROFLASH BY FLASH SILVERMOON

The Beltane Fires burn reminding us of our passion which is not to be denied on any level. I can almost feel the energies seething with anticipation as the month begins on the tail of a late April Scorpio Full Moon. Intensity was the name of that tune however, the lingering Mercury Retrograde that is keeping most energies squarely on the pause button can make most of us feel kind of irritated especially with Mars in a wide square to the Sun in Taurus.

Again, if you have any major moves to make be they personal or professional, it would be much better to wait until after May12 when Mercury is moving forward because this way you will only have to do it once and you will have a chance at permanence if you want it.
Everything wants to burst forth yet its mostly happening underground with seismic activities causing rip roaring breaks all around the world.

The occult axiom, “As Above, So Below” is very important to remember. Basically, that means what happens in the Stars, or the Heavens is happening on Earth and vice versa. There is so much unrest on so many levels and it is not your imagination when you start feeling that way and see it manifesting all around you, it is global and not terribly personal.
