Before  you read any further know that this was written over 2 weeks ago prior to Sandy appearing AND MOST  IMPORTANTLY we do not have to let any of this happen we can focus our collective positive energies for the best outcome for all and we may diffuse some of the difficulties.I hope some of my predictions will be wrong! If you think that you are sick of this 2012 election thing now, just wait, and unfortunately, we will all be waiting  as the polls close and wait and wait and that’s just one of the potential stories that will be told on Nov 6 2012! Now we know how the Rethugs like to steal presidential elections especially in Florida and already there is talk of thousands of votes not being counted or lost here in my Sunshine state. We also know that machinery  somehow malfunctions, somehow votes mysteriously don’t make it through and all of these things can and have happened.

One of the reasons that we can anticipate any and all of these outcomes is in part because of the little planet Mercury which for the first time since we have had presidential elections will be Stationary Retrograde, that means Mercury is not even moving backwards yet when the polls close. Although by the next day it will be retrograde for the next 3 weeks.

For the astrological novice, Mercury is the planet  that deals with communication and electronics amongst other things. You may well have heard about the problems that tend to occur with any retrograde Mercury such as miscommunication, items getting lost, information being hidden or hidden information being discovered, confusion and in general, if it can go wrong, it will. By the way, guess who now owns the voting machines in Ohio?

The last time we had an election day similar to this one was……….you guessed it, the 2000 presidential election and you all know how fun that was. I am not at all sure that we really have a democracy in this country and after that election my faith became quite shattered like many of you. That election day we also had a stationary Mercury retrograde but on that day, Mercury was just about to move forward hence things were a mess. The election was stolen for sure but at least we had forward motion with Mercury within a day. You remember how long that took to resolve? Actually, it didn’t really fully get resolved with  pure due process as the Supreme Court decided to call the election rather than let the full recount play out which would have certainly given the Presidency to Gore. See the film Recall to get a good look at what happened. I always felt like Gore just laid down but the film gives a bit more.

I am not a fatalist and I am hoping that what seems to me like an incredibly chaotic and explosive situation gets diffused before creating an even longer and deeper logjam in naming the next President. My astrological prediction is that this could take weeks and just because one candidate is seemingly chosen, by the next morning it could look different. Perhaps one thing we can do to hopefully make our vote count is to vote early. I am also a firm believer in meditation and prayer to raise the vibration for the highest good of all because this election is likely to cause more chaos from many different  quarters. We always have our ability to help raise the vibe for the tribe so please remember that and put out your best always.

 

Mercury is not the only heavenly body that will be affecting the election but the very unpredictable planet Uranus is likely to be throwing us all some serious curve balls. Because of Uranus’ tendency to offer the unexpected, I feel that we won’t have an exact repeat of the 2000 Election yet something else could and will surely  throw a big kink into the event. Perhaps HAARP will blow up the weather with Hurricane Sandy and make it hard for the East Coasters to vote or this and some other combination of storms could shut DC down. I shudder to think what could happen if there is an undecided election that stretches out for weeks?  I am not a fear monger and I do not share any of this to create worry but rather to prepare you so that you can be more aware. The Grand Trine in Water signs could easily provide weather issues that could come into play so envision the best outcome.

Looking over the chart of Election Day 2012, some major astrological themes offer themselves. We will have a Grand Trine in both Fire and Water. Obama, a Leo, will be connecting with Fire and Romney, the Pisces, will connect with the Water.  Deception will be a very major theme throughout the campaign as well as on Election Day and I predict that this will be an election for the history books regarding deception and unpredictability as to who will win and even how the country will react. Whoever wins, we might see a dramatic reaction or even a preemptive crackdown on our civil rights for a time. I do see Obama as coming out the winner but before he is officially declared the winner there will be quite a few other potential outcomes and reversals.

I do want to say that 3rd parties have literally been shunned and shut out of the election process and not given any space for debate which is just not fair. Green Party’s Presidential Candidate Jill Stein and her VP were arrested and cuffed to chairs as they approached the Hofstra U. debate site last week. This is absolutely fascistic no matter how you feel about her. I personally feel that the country would be much better off if we had a robust 3rd and 4rth party to give us  some really diverse options.

 

Just wanted to share this information so that you don’t think I am ignoring other options. I am mostly trying to offer some insights into the situation with the two main players. Perhaps this election will be so off the rails that an entire restructuring will be sought for the future.

This could be a fantastic outcome as the Uranus/Pluto square that I have been  talking about for at least 6 months is really about profound change not Band aid cures. Somehow the opportunity to lead this country must no longer go to the highest bidder! Pluto in Capricorn will not allow the Corporate world to continue dominating with such a fascistic regime and Uranus in Aries insists on ramping up that timetable for dramatic changes and shifts. Between Obama and Romney there is no question that Obama is more forward thinking.

 

Looking at the charts of the candidates offers some very interesting information. Obama is a Leo with Aquarius Rising and Moon in Gemini all of which gives him the ability to mix and attract many different kinds of people. Whether or not he will use his highest ideals, and he does have them, remains to be seen. With his Aquarius rising , I think that his idealism actually has gotten in his way at times, perhaps trusting his adversaries to be more honorable than they are. We feel his empathy for the underdog yet we don’t always see him following that path. Romney on the other hand has no such empathy and would only be the president for the wealthy.

 

Obama’s Moon in Gemini gives him a certain brilliance, the gift for oration and also the ability to engage from different directions. He also has a very compelling and challenging configuration called a T Square consisting of Chiron, the planet of the Wounded Healer in Pisces in his first house which suggests a potential lack of confidence and insecurity that runs very deep. Mitt’s Mars, the planet of aggression and war is conjoining Obama’s Chiron which is a vulnerable place in any chart and could evoke some old feelings of being bullied as a child. 

 

With Obama’s Chiron being opposed by Pluto in the 7th house of Open Enemies and Significant Others, this can create deep and warranted fear and the ability to be dominated.  At times he will take a dominant, no nonsense attitude when he perceives himself as being treated rudely which happens a lot for a president. All this squares his mutable Moon in Gemini in the 4th house suggesting to me that many of these patterns originated in his childhood and that he has come through some very harsh experiences that give him more of a connection and sensitivity to the average American and the downtrodden. It could be that there are two Obamas, one the wounded boy and the other the brilliant statesman.

 

With the North Node conjoining Uranus in Obama’s house of partnership we can see the incredible significance of Michelle as a non traditional and powerful partner. We can be sure that she will be pushing hard for women’s issues. The pundits are already saying what I predicted in September Astroflash. THIS ELECTION WILL BE WON BY FEMALE VOTERS. I will explain more about this as I share the astro aspects from early November.  I do feel that Obama’s Venus in Cancer and his Moon in the 4th house give him much sensitivity to the  rights of women. He feels our plight from the heart. Mitt knows that he is supposed to show sensitivity so he does “show” the right attitude but when it comes down to it he fears women more than anything.

With Pluto in Obama’s 7th, one can see why we have had good reason to be concerned about assassination not to  mention all the threats and disrespect this man has endured that we do know about.

When I looked at each candidate’s chart right after the first debate I could see in part why Romney appeared to totally dominate Obama. Romney’s Pluto is exactly conjoining Obama’s Sun. This aspect can level absolute ferocity on the Sun person and can also expose the Pluto person as the bully that he is. If we are to set any kind of example against bullying for our young we cannot have a bully for a President!!

                                   

Another problem for Obama is Romney’s Saturn, the planet, of restriction, sitting right on top of Obama’s Mercury, the planet of communication. Obama’s Saturn conjoins Romney’s Sun which can manifest as Obama limiting Romney’s light.  Clearly by debate #2 Obama found a way around their astrological chemistry and  he did dim Romney’s light. Sometimes if you have been bullied at an early age you can go into a trance and become that bullied child that keeps his head down and becomes silenced and when you wake up you break that spell and go after your perpetrator aggressively.

 

Mitt Romney has his Sun in Pisces, Gemini rising and Moon in Scorpio exactly conjoining Jupiter. This is one lucky dude who does not know the meaning of the word struggle or how to relate to the common American. There is no empathy for the needs and lives of those who have less and he has no interest or capacity for understanding . His Venus in the 10th house in Aquarius can create the image of looking good, just how the people think a president should appear but the keyword here is APPEAR. Venus in Aquarius can seem mechanical and distant and with Pisces and Gemini in the mix it is no wonder he is such a flip flopper because both Pisces and Gemini are mutable signs.

Clearly Romney has one version of his platform for the One per centers and if he is pretending to be a man of the people, he can have another version. The Sun is your essence and your rising sign has a lot to do with your personality. When I listened to him during the first debate I had not studied his chart and found myself repeating,”He has nothing!” He does have Venus at the top of his chart which bodes well for him amongst those who will enjoy a superficial view and just don’t like Obama for one reason or another.

 

As we saw on the first debate, Romney is an arrogant Patrician who does not suffer anyone to best him whether he has anything truthful to say or not. Some pundits called this “looking presidential.” I would say anything but presidential as he has no respect for the office of the President, nor the process and rules of a debate. He grew up being adored for his looks, style and very little else and he figures that all should fall in line before him. Oddly he acts more like a Leo in some cases than Obama.

His ferocity is fueled by arrogance and the intensity of that Scorpio Moon which is inflated by its conjunction to Pluto. If one is to look at the bottom of his chart, there are enough skeletons in his family closet that no one will ever find and his taxes are just the beginning. With Saturn and Pluto in the bottom of his chart, Romney is likely the gatekeeper of the dark side of the family tree.

 

Romney really acts like he believes in the Divine Right of Kings. As far as his wife, her posture is more like a 1950′s wife. Yet with his Moon conjunct Jupiter in Scorpio her wealth may be part of his financial  footing. She may have some very hidden pull on him. I doubt that we will see the Real Mitt anytime soon if there is one but I do believe if the stress gets too bad and leaks about his failings are exposed, we will see more of him as the spineless arrogant bully.

Back to the subject of the significance of the Female Vote in this election, may I introduce you to the new planet /asteroid, Eris who has come into our consciousness over he last couple of years. During the last New Moon which was in Libra, it just so happens that that little “Game Changer” Eris, the asteroid that bounced Pluto out of its planetary stature, was exactly opposite the Sun and Moon! This new planet is known for disruption and is thought of as a War Goddess. So even though the Uranus Pluto team has backed off, Eris will have jumped in to stir and heat the waters. She doesn’t mind stirring it up in fact she rather likes hearing the sound of the war drums pounding. I predict and will not be at all surprised if some of the countries perched precariously on the edge of conflagration burst into flames by mid November.

 

 

When you add this newcomer Eris to the mix as part of the Female uprising, one is reminded of the bravery of the young Pakistani Hera Malala who at 14 stood up against the intimidation of the repressive Taliban. She dared to go to school even though it was forbidden for girls to be  educated! We have watched in horror as we saw her bloodied face on the News, shot in the head by monsters, the Taliban who jumped aboard her school bus with murderous rage leveled at a teenager lest other girls choose to rebel. With the planetary configuration as it is, we are more likely to see a female uprising than for women and girls to slink back to the kitchen even with mounting  oppression

.

If a 14 year old girl will risk life and limb for an education in one of the most repressive places on the earth for women how can women in America with all its  opportunities albeit glass ceilings and no pay equity  possibly allow a bunch of old white men to sell out the rights that so many have  bled for over the last 40 years? The role of women in a Rethuglican world is displayed very clearly by Anne Romney who will bake cookies while Michelle Obama might just help change the world! Nothing wrong with baking cookies but she does portray a 1950′s pre feminist female role. A vote for Romney is a vote for the enslavement of women back to an archaic system with a rollback of the hard won rights that we have enjoyed.

On Election Day, both candidates have interesting connections with the day’s chart.

 

Obama’s Moon is on the Ascendant [personality] and Romney’s Venus is on the Midheaven [uppermost point and "the public"]. Obama’s Sun conjoins the Election Day Moon and his Ascendant conjoins the Ascendant of the day. You might say that could translate into being Obama’s night! With these lunar connections for Obama one could see that as a good connection with women voters as well. On Election Day the Moon is in Leo in the 4th house which makes it a very powerful Moon as it is placed in its own house and this conjoins Obama’s Sun so I would say just from an astrological place that this is Obama’s election to lose. As I have said, my faith in Electoral Politrix is almost nil so I cannot say for absolute sure that the true winner will be elected but I predict that Obama will be the victor.

PS SOME BREAKING NEWS ABOUT HAARP I guess my intuition is on the money here’s some news that may well affect the election and this could well be the intention, create enough diversion to slip through something covert who knows but this could well be the “out of left field ” or in this case likely right field that I suggested could happen to stop or in some way skew the election.   VOTE

ARIES – OOH it’s sure gonna get fiery around here which will of course suit me just fine. People, where is your passion? Seems like you have been draggin’ around. Well I am sure finding mine and I am loving it. If you aren’t living on the edge then you are just taking up too much room.I for one am embracing my passion  and encourage you to do the same. Don’t let FEAR freeze you into becoming just another attractive robot. If you want to live your best life then be yourself its the only job no one else can do. OK that’s Aries self help sermon over the top as usual with Uranus poking and prodding me at every step. The beginning of this month will surely test my mettle.

TAURUS -  Aries for once I like your passion talk, passion is usually my favorite flavor. With the South Node in my sign I feel like totally giving in to my “material girl” side. So many ideas and ways to express my earthy nature. Gardening,shopping,collecting,sensuality, cooking delicious food, sensuality, shopping, massage, sensuality….. what to do what to do? I think I will sink into a sumptuous warm bath filled with red rose petals and oils to make my choice or at least make an orderly list. Yum!

GEMINI – Busy, busy. Should I go to an Obama victory party or a Green screw the election party. I would never party with the Rethugs or maybe I will just not be party to any of it? You know I do love a party though and there will be so much to say. I am sick to death of all the posturing, promises and pundits but I just love playing devil’s advocate and mixing it up with folks who think that they know it all and have everything all figured out. I won’t mind at all when the conversation can  get past politrix for a change boring. I for one am going to change my channel and maybe check back later.

CANCER – I must say that this Grand Trine in Water is balm to my soul which has felt like it’s been in a kick boxing marathon with Uranus and Pluto and I don’t kick box! I have however gotten quite good at dodging and weaving and knowing when enough is enough. As long as I am in the water, I don’lt mind kicking around because I can always float. Buoyancy is a really nice quality and it’s one of my traits that I enjoy as do others. I find that even in the worst of times I can find it in myself  to somehow lift my spirits and maybe a few others too.As they say ,”What doesn’t kill you makes you stronger.”

LEO – Well if the Moon is in my sign, Leo on Election Day, then shouldn’t a Leo win? I don’t mean to be simplistic just wondering. I have to say that my big Leo heart welcomes the opportunity to get fired up by the  Grand Trine in Fire early in the month, Show me a lion that doesn’t love heat and I’ll show you a lyin’ lion. So I guess I will step away from the TV and prowl some political or not so political parties. Yes seeing and being see is the ticket for me for now.

VIRGO – I guess nobody but us Virgos gives a damn about facts, truth and honesty. Geez what passes for honesty these days is pathetic. Neptune you must be just thrilled with all the edges being so damn blurry…..OK  It’s not like me to lose my temper and get all emotional but my sensibilities are daily offended by a culture that seems to value style over substance. Repeat it over and over and it becomes truth. Not in my world, no thank you. Guess Mars in Sag has gotten my goat. Actually Mars won’t be getting anyone’s goat til it moves into Capricorn later jn the month.

LIBRA – Venus in my sign has had me swooning. You know I can just fall in love with love some times. I am going to make the most of this social windfall and live it up til the Lady of Love moves into Scorpio later in the month. With Jupiter in Gemini I will need to be selective because in this time of abundance a little discretion can go a long way and I am a Libra for Goddess sake and I just hate  to make decisions if I wind up with two potential partners. Don’t get me started on that I rather write words of love and love poetry with all this creative energy.

SCORPIO – Yum! A Solar Eclipse in my sign and then Venus goes into Scorpio! How incredibly divine for us fixed water babies. Boggles the imagination and I have an incredibly vivid imagination with fantasies to last for days. Never mind 50 shades of Gray, I’ll give you 50 shades of deep purple! I have a feeling that I will be in some really deep hot water this month. I do love anything deep and hot and water well say no more. I had best keep my eye on my money too lest I get too extravagant.

SAGITTARIUS – Mars sure has gotten the wind behind my sails and pushed me out in front of the plans that were  almost at a standstill. I can get so caught up in my ideas and ideals that I can create my own blocks so I am going to take full advantage of the oh so cosmic push I have been getting and run with it. Procrastination damn it gets in my way and I want to manifest some prosperity and creative projects and now is the time. Back to work gotta
go Mars will only be in my sign for another 3 weeks.

CAPRICORN -  I have gotten downright cozy with heavy handed Pluto breathing down my neck 24/7 but Mars now too? All right I see I have til the end of the month to adjust to this new player and he won’t be around too long but having Pluto and Mars sitting on my head on the 27th/28th feels dicey. I know that I will not do a lot of driving that day and if I feel like I just have to tell the boss how much I enjoy him… I will bite my tongue for the day and head to the gym and kill the punching bag because I am going to have a lot to burn off.

AQUARIUS – Feeling pretty good these days. I see and feel the Cauldron of Chaos that is swirling about the planet. Seems like there are so many places in extreme duress and so much struggle but thankfully I don’t seem to be in the middle of it.We Aquarians do have the gift of detachment and don’t seem to get our emotions swept up in drama, I rather leave that to the water or fire signs. I am feeling very stimulated and even the air seems to have a kind of crackle and snap to it like everything is more alive and buzzing. I will keep a journal to allow myself to collect the wild ideas that are coming fast and furious.

PISCES – Oh I thought you were never going to get to me. I have been feeling even more like a psychic sponge than ever. Its as if my body mind and spirit are all on high alert. Not feeling fearful at all just feeling the intensity of the energies that are wrapping themselves around the planet. It is getting harder to know what is me and what is beyond me. I am n not even sure if anything is beyond me. In my center all is peaceful and serene and when I remember that I can crawl inside and feel very grounded. Music can take me there any time and I will use  the Muses like a lavender blanket to keep me warm.
