We all might have the inclination to be April Fools as the month opens with an absolute firestorm of possibilities for outrageous acts of all kinds! For starters, fire starters that is, we have count them 4 planets in Aries. The Sun, Jupiter,Mars and Uranus are all in Aries with the Moon in the New Moon Phase joining the hot crew on April 3rd when militant Mars conjoins unpredictable, unconventional Uranus which unfortunately conjoins the nadir of the US chart. This is not great news for our economics or potential earth quakes in delicate ares such as the New Madrid fault line or some of the California hot spots. Be aware and not scared. Emotional upheavals are likely but don’t need to last too long so don’t let a jagged moment fester when it can easily be released in a couple of hours.
Because we will be feeling more impulsive and possibly a bit reckless or devil may care, we can also  be more accident prone. This is not a good time to make any major decisions for  so many reasons. Hopefully the global power brokers will not jump into any premature actions.

OK enough Astro – Speak for a moment and let me break it down. Jupiter expands everything that it touches and perhaps fortunately it is also being opposed by Saturn which can create a feeling of push pull and a major resistance to one’s big ideas and forward motion.

All that being said, there probably is no restraining the fiery crew of Sun.Jupiter, Mars and Uranus for long once they get going and these energies are highly flammable and liable to cut loose anything that isn’t tied down.
Many of us have been under so much pressure these past months not to mention the global picture. I think it is wise to expect that some of the revolutions taking place around the world will be very stimulated by these aspects and will explode into more open conflict by those who are fighting for their liberation.

Personally this can also be happening for each of us as individuals so we must try to be more forgiving and patient with ourselves and others as we fumble our way towards enlightenment and liberation.
The occult axiom, “As Above So Below” is manifest here.  Neptune entering Pisces on the 5th will expand that momentum even further. More about that watery energy later.

One must not forget that during this time until the 24th of April  Mercury will still be retrograde which means that reversals are likely. In other words if a relationship, be it personal or global is at peace, it can just as easily slip into a space of disharmony or even war. Do overs are likely to pop up and be needed before clarity can emerge.

Clarity Flash, are you kidding? The view might be lovely and all draped in a lavender fog but clarity is not likely with this planet known for blurring the edges and flooding boundaries. Neptune will enter it’s own sign Pisces on April 5 and resume its cozy relationship with Chiron which also moved into Pisces some weeks ago. Let me remind you that the last time that Neptune entered Pisces, we had the BP oil spill. I don’t think that history will necessarily repeat itself but rather I believe that we will see the true result and the tragedy that was unleashed on our oceans.

Having the planet that rules the waters in its own sign is likely to create big floods, maybe another tsunami and water issues of every kind. Perhaps we will also see the use of hydro power to reduce  our need for oil and fossil fuels. During these years, if we do not take an active role to keep our waters clear and free of corporate take over, we will all face a much harsher world. Water is already being hijacked and pilfered in this and third world countries so it is time for us all to become more aware and take a stand for our most basic form of sustenance.

I have stepped off of my soapbox because the waters are rising as I speak! Seriously though, Neptune in Pisces has a beautiful and harmonious side as well. I believe that the potential for spiritual elevation and global harmony is also possible and that potential can include an evolution of a global spirituality that embraces all and excludes none. This energy will be a wonderful backdrop for this years Wise Woman’s Festival, April 8-10  near Gainesville FL.

The Full Moon in Libra on the 17th should soften things a bit and create a more hospitable climate for Peace. In addition Saturn will be holding Mars’ energy in check for a day or two. This could lead to some very frustrated energy but hell it only lasts a couple of days.
The thing about Astrology is that by knowing these key dates, we can avoid letting a rough day or two become our whole view of the world.

Wild relationship energy is apt to be buzzing through on the 22nd when Uranus conjoins Venus. If you meet someone, it is likely to be spontaneous and hot but not necessarily solid perhaps with someone unconventional or the relationship itself could be a bit unusual. The Moon and Pluto will conjoin on that same day making this energy much deeper and intense.

Finally Mercury goes direct on the 24th and everything can move forward again.

April 30th is May Eve and is celebrated globally by pagans as a time of passion and the bursting forth of nature. This year’s holiday will be a hot time  around the  Beltane fires as Mercury and the Moon will be conjunct in Aries as will Mars and Jupiter. Aries – I am having the best time and I can’t believe how very Martian I feel. So many planets in my sign, I can do anything I want, no holds barred and that’s just the way that I like it. This month, NO is not in my vocabulary.If it’s there, why not do it. Like Mame said, “Life is a banquet and most poor suckers are starving to death!” Honey I am not gonna starve, not for nuthin’

Taurus – The earth has been rockin’ and rollin’ and I am happy to hold the fort with both feet on the ground, that is if the ground will just stay in place. I like to feel like I can park my car at night and know that it will be where I left it in the morning. Call me anal but I like it that way. I can’t wait til the end of the month when the Sun goes into my sign and the Beltane fires make us all feel kind of sexy.

Gemini – I’m gonna be the warm breeze that incites all that fire to riot but mostly in social situations. What fun is it if ya can’t stir things up once in awhile and I do love to stir it up! I’m really not attached to any point of view but I crave a good conversation, the more stimulating the better. I know things could get confusing with old murky Mercury retro bringing the ants to the picnic but that also gives me more mind puzzles to unravel.More play.

Cancer – All this Arian energy is kind of rough on my gentle Cancer spirit. I can get with change like the smooth roll of the ocean or the way the sun follows the moonlight every morning but its that slap you upside the head kin d of change that makes me want to run for the hills. Sometimes we do get stuck in our ruts so I understand the need for the occasional spontaneous explosive kind of changes just please let that not happen in my home.

Leo – I can celebrate Aries even though its not my fire but I’m a big lion, I can handle that. Fire is fire after all and I am ready to shake and bake my muscular body in the great outdoors. I like to have a mate that I can really take pride in and who becomes a part of my tribe.I have been reclining in the depths of the forest for too long and I am coming out to seize the day!

Virgo – I’ll be happier when at least the Sun goes into Taurus on the 20th and gives this girl a little earth. With Mercury retro once again I do find it  very centering to hit up my organizational skills and take on a closet or a series of file cabinets so I don’t just worry and “push the river.” I really like to know where my stuff is and this allows me to be as fussy as I like to be  because just jumping forward now has proven time and time again to be a total waste of time, and I hate to waste anything!

Libra – Why can’t we all just get along? OK not too original but heart felt. I know old Saturn is watching the clock and I am supposed to be doing this great balancing act but geez this is an incredibly challenging time for me as balance seems to be required from moment to moment. Keeps me on my toes and everything else. My spot on the fence has been rented by a sensitive Sag who needs a vacation so as Martha Reeves and the Vandellas say, “Nowhere to run nowhere to hide.”

Scorpio – Hm seems like a most interesting mix of energies from where I sit. and one with limitless potential for intriguing adventures. With all the influx of water energy I think it will be great fun to dive in deep as it all warms up from the Aries heat. By the way in case you haven’t figured me out yet, Hot Water is my favorite water even if I am playing it cool and the more intense the better.

Sagittarius – Fire and Water,Yes I like that a lot.I am mutable fire which is essentially watery fire so I am really feeling like myself and more free to be expressive and live life more fully. I am fired up yet mellowed out when I need to be but… still its a lot of energy to handle and sometimes I do get overwhelmed. Seems like little trips to the beach or water keeps me on my game and not stressed. I have to remember how to handle lots of energy and not be afraid of it or need to turn it down.

Capricorn – Control, I like it need it and fear not having it and yet like many nations on the world, I struggle to maintain it at all costs even when it appears to all, including me, to be a fruitless task.
I think that I sometimes labor under the delusion that if I work hard enough even the most difficult problems will dissolve. I must think I am Wonder Woman  and this might be a good time to get real about my place in the human race as a mere mortal or the Universe will surely find a way to show me that in a pointed way.Yep Reality Kitchen for me.

Aquarius – For awhile it seemed like we were just full of Aquarian energy but n ow nary a whiff however Uranus in Aries will show me a thing or two about quick changes and there will be no use resisting as I sometimes do. I love the feeling of liberation that is trying to sweep the world free of tyrants and dictators, Love It. I just wish that it wouldn’t have such a human cost as well. Power is never just given up it usually needs to be wrested out of the clutches of the Powerful when they are over powering others. Let’s form a circle and give each a voice then we share power. I like that.

Pisces – OOwhee Neptune will be in Pisces and for a long time too.Take Me to the River…..drop me in the water…c’mon Wade in the water wade in the water children…someone’s troublin’ the water uh huh. Makes me wanna sing and swim with the dolphins and ride this lovely ocean of emotion into the sea foam. I am so grateful for the water of the world and will invest my best energies to heal and protect  Mama Ocean, Yemonja,Yemaya, La Mer. I will not forget however that she can have a wilder side and that we must stay aware of her movements Should be easier to go with the flow and that will create that soft place to fall as the earth goes through Her rumbles and changes.
