The Beltane Fires burn reminding us of our passion which is not to be denied on any level. I can almost feel the energies seething with anticipation as the month begins on the tail of a late April Scorpio Full Moon. Intensity was the name of that tune however, the lingering Mercury Retrograde that is keeping most energies squarely on the pause button can make most of us feel kind of irritated especially with Mars in a wide square to the Sun in Taurus.

Again, if you have any major moves to make be they personal or professional, it would be much better to wait until after May12 when Mercury is moving forward because this way you will only have to do it once and you will have a chance at permanence if you want it.

Everything wants to burst forth yet its mostly happening underground with seismic activities causing rip roaring breaks all around the world.

The occult axiom, “As Above, So Below” is very important to remember. Basically, that means what happens in the Stars, or the Heavens is happening on Earth and vice versa. There is so much unrest on so many levels and it is not your imagination when you start feeling that way and see it manifesting all around you, it is global and not terribly personal.

Imagine, if you will, the crush as a new shoot pushes against the earth as it breaks through to become a flower. This is not a peaceful moment and that is the energy as May begins to bust forth in all its floral glory!

On the last day of April we will see the last of that exact Saturn / Uranus Opposition which has been slamming the political scene and other things since Election day. Under this aspect we saw Obama break into the Old White Boys Club as the Uranian agent for Change. The aspect hit again on Inauguration Day where we once again saw the nation rise up to Celebrate the New Deal. Now with this last pass of the aspect, Obama is the Old Guard, so to speak, and a Right Wing rebellion is fomenting as the new agents for change. Used to be when you talked about radicals you were talking about lefties but the wingnuts of the right are now taking to the streets in numbers and so its the same places but a very different story.

On May 22 Saturn and Jupiter will oppose ewach other and that should be a very hairy econimic day. Is it inflation or depression, do we spend or save?

These are turbulent times and this see saw energy where someone is always needing to upset the apple cart is just a sign of the times and rebellion is the name of the game. Even though the aspect between Saturn, the past and the establishment is still opposing Uranus, the future, and rebellion the effect will weaken some til Uranus moves into Aries.

By May 27, Uranus, which has been floating around in Mutable Pisces will slam into Aries like a battering ram and anything that hasn’t been challenged will be due for an overhaul over the next dozen or so years. This should be a memorable shift to be sure.

People say they want change but most don’t really mean it all that much and we will have CHANGE for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. We will really all need to become way more flexible and intuitive to navigate the white water.

While we are on the topic of Water, Chiron the Asteroid and Planet of the Wounded Healer will splash into Pisces which is likely to make issues about water, what we do and don’t do with it and to it should be in the news and of prime concern.

All and all, the Merry Month of May may want to be called the Outrageous Month of May by the time we are done this time. I feel quite certain that Don’t Ask Don’t Tell is likely to be revoked by the end of this month!!

GEMINI – Venus is in my sign for the first half of the month and that suits me just fine. By the end of the month, I will be ready for a different vibe , who knows maybe even sooner than that, so while the Goddess of Love is smiling on me, I will make lots of dates and even show up for most of them.The thing is, how can I date anyone new during Mercury Retrograde if I want it to last? Well maybe not lasting is better for me anyway, takes the pressure off, yeah that will work, then I can do whatever I want I do like it best that way.

CANCER – My karma must be lined up right because Venus enters my sign after Mercury regains her sense of direction so just maybe I can start something new after mid May. I had best behave at Beltane although that’s a Sacred Sexual time anyway so I get a free pass. I suppose not all will agree with this but it could work in theory. Actually this is the perfect time to feather my nest and create my exotic sanctuary. I am after all kind of a home body so love will be IN The House!

LEO – I’m struttin’ my stuff with Mars crankin’ up my engines on a regular basis. Maybe Aries and I should go on a road trip or something and burn off this excess wild energy. I feel like I might just do some extreme things if I don’t find a way to channel all this bangin’ yang energy although extreme feels like just the right flavor for now. Time to plug in the stratocaster or write some spoken word rap stuff. Gotta let it all out!

VIRGO – I thought I had kissed old Saturn goodbye permanently and so here he is today just trying to rain on my parade jeez wasn’t 2 1/2 years enough. So tired of everyone having something critical to say about the way I am doing my life. I know Saturn has to be somewhere and it won;t be back for another 27 yrs or so but still it makes my behind tired. Feels like every unkind word is aimed right at me and my heart just gets tired of the sting.

I am tying up all my loose ends and that is giving me pleasure.

LIBRA – I guess that I had better get ready for my world to be rocked because when Uranus jumps into Aries, its likely to be a very bumpy extreme ride and I sure wish it could be anyway else. If I ran the world, it would be FAIR that’s for sure and that’s the one thing that burns my butt when I look at the world but no sense preaching to the choir I guess. I will just do my art quietly for awhile and make my statement that way. Maybe I will write love poems to my Muse or simply be amused so hard to decide.

SCORPIO – I don’t even want to tell you what I am thinking. Harder still to contain it all inside when it wants to come tumbling out of my mouth in torrents. The Moon has been calling me into her misty orbit and I stare at her now each night gathering up the moonbeams she has tossed about like tiny diamonds on my walkway. There musts be a special surprise waiting for me at the end of this rainbow because I feel magic in the air.

SAGITTARIUS – I am feeling all the fire that Aries and Leo are feeling but its making me feel like going out and being much more active. Tennis anyone? I don;t much care what it is as long as I get up and out and get moving some chi around. Yoga, Tai Chi, or Quigong doesn’t matter as long as I can stretch out these tight muscles and then throw me in the water, yeah that’s it. Take Me to the River,,,,and Drop Me In the Water…Dancing!! that’s the best, music and movement I like it I like it.

CAPRICORN – I am still having a time of it watching the political world bump and grind around the most peculiar of issues. Hell, the right won’t even say yes to something it suggested 2 years ago. I don;t know if they are alzheimic or stunted at 2 yrs old when all they can say is no! And then there is my life which seems to be dominated by what the mainstream culture decides to do and its all just too much..and I feel way out of control. You know that thrills me no end. Every time ya think you are getting over the hump… somebody moves the hump!

AQUARIUS – Neptune and I are getting to be such good buds. I am really getting used to that drifty, aimless kind of feeling. I am sure that it has some spiritual value for the greater good yada yada but honestly a game plan and a clear map would be incredible. I can roll with most anything or at least I thought that I could but I have been getting aquainted with my control needs over the last 4 years and it is quite amazing.I was way more rigid than I had thought. By the time this journey is done, I will be as looses as I thought that I was.

PISCES – Chiron in and Uranus out! Sounds like an exercise or something. Woo hoo the kozmic clutter that one can accumulate. Feels good to have cleared my space all the way out this time. All that Uranian energy really got me writing more keyboard music and blissfully floating through waves of sound. I do know that I will be tested on it as Chiron kicks up her heels and tap dances all over this sign. Who knows, if Uranus comes around for a bit we may even get some weird kind of lap dance. I am ready to feel the warmth and play of the wild winds of May.
